This appointed officer is responsible for the editing, publishing, and distribution of the international newsletter "The Universal Translator" and the annual fanzine. This person also oversees the Internet Services (Listserve/FTP/World Wide Web). This officer is fourth in command.

CCOM Support Staff:


Director of Internet Services


The Director administers the UFPI electronic listserve. He\She subscribes and unsubscribes members to the listserve and manages the technical aspects of this electronic medium. This person works for the Chief of Communication, but communicates with all Admiralty Departments.
Director of Web Services


The Director administers the UFPI web site and the contents within. He/She works on and maintains any of the Internet-based services. This person also maintains the FTP site and picks up any contributed files or software uploaded to the site. This person works for the Chief of Communications, but communicates with all Admiralty Departments.
Fanzine Editor

This person works with Communications and the membership to produce UFPI's Fanzine publication. If you are interested in sending in a submission to The Intergalactic Viewscreen please download the Submission Guidelines here.
Assistant Editor, Universal Translator


Assists the Chief of Communication in the production of the UFPI Newsletter, the Universal Translator.
Director of Special Interest Groups (DSIG)

This person is the point contact for all communication regarding special interest groups. He/She will be responsible for coordinating SIG activities, helping members with questions regarding SIG's, fostering the growth of special interest groups through identifying/providing different communication tools, and promoting SIG's to current membership and potential new members.

Director of Simulations

This officer is the role-play coordinator for the Phoenix Fleet and acts as the contact point for role-play scenarios, activities, and competitions with other Trek clubs and within UFPI.
