The Ambassador's College Exam is not for everyone or the lighthearted. This is a test of character and adherence to the Star Trek philosophy, and its application to real world problems in Star Trek fandom. This course prepares those complete it for the serious and important duties of diplomacy and its many facets.

The successful student must be able to analyze various scenarios and generate well thought out and explicated solutions to these various problems, as well as be able to be introspective and self-aware, and be committed to personal growth and fellowship in fandom.

Upon successful completion of the Exam, the graduate is given status as a Diplomatic in the Interstellar Diplomatic Services (IDS) of the UFPI. The IDS is primarily a civilian corps, although service personnel are also encouraged to challenge themselves to the rigors of this exam. This exam is open to all Star Trek fans of any persuasion, not just UFPI members.
